How to lodge a Call Before You Dig ticket

To lodge a new Call Before You Dig enquiry, log in and click the New Ticket button on the Console screen dashboard:

Tip: If you cannot see this button after logging in, it is probably because your account needs validating. Please log out, validate your account, and then login again.

Next, fill out the details of the work that you are doing. If you need assistance, pop-ups appear when you click into each field describing the information we need. There are also grey ? icons throughout the website where you can view help tips:

Once the Ticket Details are filled out correctly, click Next. You will then be taken to the Dig Site Location screen:

Here you need to search for your dig site location. You can search via Street address, Intersection or XY-Coordinates. After clicking Search, a map of the site will load. Use the drawing tools up the top-right side of the map to designate your work area. For more detailed information see our How to use the Location screen article.

Once you have found your location and drawn the area on the map, click Next. You will then be taken to the Confirm Dig Site section.  Please ensure the address, Town and Nearest Cross Street are filled in correctly.  This is what will be displayed on your ticket for the address portion.  Once you have filled that information in, click Next. 

You will then be taken to the Notes: Project Description portion.  Here, you will fill in any description of works and location.  Once you have filled in your notes, and verified that all details you have entered are accurate and complete, click Submit.

This will send the information to all utilities registered with our service, who will then respond directly to you with their records. You will be taken to the ticket confirmation page which displays the utilities that have been notified of your request.
