If you often use the same details when lodging your Call Before You Dig inquiries, you can create default settings so that all future jobs automatically fill in some of your Ticket Details. This can help speed up the process of lodging your requests. You can change these settings at any time.
To set up your default user settings for your account, all you need to do is click the Settings button on the top right-hand side of the screen:
The pop-up window below will appear:
In the pop-up window, you can now make your selections. For example:
- Ticket Type: are tickets usually 'Emergency' or 'Routine' jobs?
- Type of Work: which type of work do you usually undertake? The options vary slightly between the different Ticket Types. See a list of definitions here.
- Activity: is there a regular type of activity that takes place? These will vary between the different Types of Work. See a list of definitions here.
- Excavation Method: Auguring, Boring, Machine Exc, etc...
- Location of Workplace: are your jobs normally in Private Property, Road, or Both?
- Location in Road (Right of Way): if Road or Both selected above, do you consistently work across the whole road, sidewalk and shoulder?
- Notes / description of works: is there any consistent information you need to pass on regarding your inquiries, or would you like to create a template for your remarks section?
Click the Save button once you have made your desired changes. The next time you create a New Ticket, these fields will be preset on your ticket form. These can still be manually changed within the form job-by-job as required.
